Giorgio Armani has built an empire anchored on menswear, and Tuesday's runway show reminded us why. The casual but elegant tailoring was Armani at the top of his game. His dark palette was broken up with hints of purple (on those knits under blazers) and then with a blaze of yellow, either as a pocket square or on eye-catching (as in, we couldn't look away) desert boots. His experimentation with fabrics came across as sophisticated in the form of a techno travel blazer before the show ended with a series of matching blue cotton blazers and shirts paired with subtle check pants. It was the perfect outfit for next spring — or this one
